Frequently Asked Questions

[Application] Is there anything else I need to do when I re-enter Korea within the expiration date of K-ETA?

Even if you enter the country within the validity period of the K-ETA, you must modify the information if the purpose of entry, the place of stay in Korea, and the contact information have changed. We are not responsible for any disadvantages that arise if they do not.

[Application] Is there a case where I need to get a K-ETA issued again within the expiration date?

Even if K-ETA is approved, if important information (nationality, name, gender, date of birth, passport number, passport expiration date, infectious disease information, and criminal history) is changed, you must apply for K-ETA again.

[Application] How long is the K-ETA valid?

The validity period of K-ETA is two years from the date of approval.
However, if the validity of the passport is less than two years away when applying for K-ETA, the K-ETA will be valid until the validity of the passport.

[Application] How long does it take to get the results after applying for K-ETA?

The results of the examination generally take less than 72 hours.
The results can be found on [My Page] - [Application Status].
However, in some cases, it may take more than 72 hours.

The results of the application will also be sent by email.
Please make sure to check the email you entered when applying.

[Application] Until when should I apply for K-ETA?

You must apply in advance before boarding aircraft and ships to South Korea.
The K-ETA screening period generally takes about 72 hours, but please note that it may take more than 72 hours depending on the situation (increase in the number of applications by country, situation of applicants, etc.).

[Application] How long can I stay in Korea if I get permission for K-ETA?

With permission from K-ETA, you can usually stay for less than 90 days.
However, the period of stay in Korea varies depending on the applicant's nationality.
